The Strokes British Summer Time Hyde Park show reviews from the media
The Strokes first London show in 5 years at last night’s British Summer Time Hyde Park festival has certainly made the media go wild.
I can’t remember the last time they had so many reviews for one of their concerts.  I’ve collected together some of the best here. You can read my own thoughts and see photos and video of the show over at this post.
DIY Magazine called it ‘a welcome reminder of just how they reached iconic status’.
The Telegraph newspaper said ‘it was good to be back and glorious to see The Strokes again‘
Gigwise called it ‘a pretty flawless evening‘
The Guardian declared that ‘few expect fireworks – but they blow the park up‘
NME’s report of the show has some choice Julian Casablancas banter and a separate photo post. Update: Scans of the review can be found over at the gallery.
Uncut Magazine assures us that ‘though it may be two years since they last released a record, the Strokes still radiate a reassuringly healthy disposition.
