The Strokes to play show in New York, 31st May and other news

Well something was definitely coming after The Strokes official Twitter came back to life over the weekend and now that something is a show in the band’s home state, New York. They will be playing on Saturday 31st May at the Captitol Theatre, Port Chester, NY.

If you have signed up to the mailing list then the pre-sale starts tomorrow (14th May) at 10:00AM EDT, the rest of the tickets will be on sale on Friday 16th May at 12:PM EDT

Albert has given a few interviews recently talking about the band upcoming headlining slot at the Governors  Ball festival in June. He Spoke to Gigwise and NME. The interesting thing is that he mentions a song that Julian has done vocals on that The Strokes recorded, will this new song get released this year, will they play it at their upcoming shows? Lets hope so!
